How it works
Upload your CSV
The file your supplier or old platform gave you - messy columns, weird characters and all.
We find the problems
CSV Rescue checks your file against Shopify's product import format and shows you exactly what's wrong, row by row.
Download the fixed file
Everything that can be repaired safely is repaired. You get a clean, Shopify-ready CSV and a plain-English report.
What it fixes
- Garbled characters and broken accents (encoding problems from Excel and supplier systems)
- Supplier column names matched to Shopify's format ("Product Name" becomes "Title", and dozens more)
- Missing handles created from product titles, and invalid handles cleaned to Shopify's rules
- Prices with currency symbols, commas or European formats ("$1,299.00", "19,99")
- Compare-at prices Shopify would reject because they aren't higher than the price
- SKUs and barcodes mangled by Excel (scientific notation like 8.9E+12, lost digits, ".0" endings)
- Variant rows restructured: options, sizes and colors organized the way Shopify expects
- Exact duplicate rows and duplicate variants removed
- Broken image links repaired, and cells with several links split into proper image rows
- Inventory quantities, weights and true/false values converted to Shopify's format
- Semicolon- and tab-separated files converted to real CSV
- Blank rows, stray commas and ragged lines cleaned up
If something can't be fixed safely without guessing, we don't guess. The report tells you exactly which rows need a human look, and why.
Private by design
Your file is processed entirely in your browser. Nothing is uploaded, stored, logged or shared - we never see your products, your prices or your suppliers. Close the tab and it's gone.
